“Museum Menagerie” brings the animal kingdom indoors. Drawn entirely from the R.W. Norton Art Gallery’s permanent collection, it features works in a variety of media, including sculptures, drawings, paintings, prints, and more. This exhibition explores how artists have used their artistic expressions to observe and reimagine animals as companions, symbols, and interpretations of the natural world.

From intimate studies to imaginative portrayals, “Museum Menagerie” invites visitors of all ages to look closely at the relationship between humans and animals, and how that enduring fascination is translated through art.
