A Night to Remember: Opening Reception for New Orleans in Art: A Love Letter from the Crescent City
On Thursday, August 28th, we opened the doors to one of the most anticipated exhibitions of the year: New Orleans in Art: A Love Letter from the Crescent City. The evening was nothing short of magical, filled with energy, community, and the vibrant spirit of New Orleans itself.
We were thrilled to welcome more than 430 guests to the reception—an incredible turnout that speaks to the excitement surrounding this show. Attendees enjoyed an evening of art, conversation, and celebration, as the galleries came alive with the sights, sounds, and stories of New Orleans.
Adding to the evening’s special atmosphere, several of the exhibiting artists traveled from New Orleans to join us. Their presence brought an extra layer of connection and authenticity to the night, as guests had the unique opportunity to engage with the creators whose works capture the soul of the Crescent City.
The event served not only as a celebration of the exhibition but also as a testament to the cultural ties between New Orleans and our own community. From the bold colors and rhythms of the artwork to the lively conversations that carried through the galleries, the night felt like a love letter in itself—one written by artists and embraced by all who attended.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support the opening reception, and especially to the artists who made the journey to share their work with us. New Orleans in Art: A Love Letter from the Crescent City is on view now—we invite you to come experience the spirit of New Orleans for yourself.
