A Magical Evening at the Norton: Holiday Exhibitions Opening Reception

The R.W. Norton Art Gallery kicked off the holiday season with a truly magical evening as we celebrated the opening of our festive exhibitions, A Storybook Christmas and Yuletide: Holiday Favorites from the Norton. Nearly 200 guests filled the galleries, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere that set the tone for the weeks ahead.

Visitors enjoyed beautiful live music by Haley Brooke, whose performances added a cozy charm to the event. Families and children took part in one of our favorite traditions—writing heartfelt letters to Santa, with many slipping their notes into the Norton’s magic mailbox in hopes of a reply from the North Pole. Guests also had the special opportunity to mingle with several featured artists, gaining insight into their work and creative processes.

The evening was filled with conversation, laughter, and the shared excitement of the holiday season. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us, and we invite the community to experience the wonder of these exhibitions throughout the month.
