Guided Tours
First Saturday Tours
TOURS
Guided tours are available by appointment only for groups
of 10 or more people from First Grade to adults. There is
no charge for a guided tour. The tour lasts approximately
one hour. To schedule a guided tour, call the Gallery at (318)
865-4201 at least two weeks in advance of a planned visit. Click here to view Tours Available.
Specially Scheduled Tours for anyone interested in participating on the first Saturday of every month at 2:00 p.m. All tours, like admission to the Gallery, are free to the public. Click here to view Specially Scheduled Tours.
Self-conducted tours of groups by civic organizations and
school groups are also encouraged. Teachers escorting school
students are requested to have a sufficient number of responsible
adults with the group to ensure order.
Tours can be designed to relate to a specific course or topic,
otherwise a general introduction to the Gallery's permanent
collections is presented. Special exhibitions scheduled by the Gallery
are included in a general tour of the museum.
Community lectures are available to civic organizations and school groups on request at no charge. The program covers highlights from the Gallery's permanent collection and current special exhibitions. Lectures on these or special topics can be scheduled by calling the Gallery.
